Eight areas the clinic sees most

Each section below gives the symptoms patients usually come with, what happens at the consultation, what to bring, and the diet advice given alongside the remedy.

Hair fall P.C.O.D. Menstrual problems Piles Kidney stone Joint pain Skin conditions Child health

Hair fall

01
बालों का झड़ना

Thinning or shedding that has continued for weeks or months, often with a change in scalp condition. Causes range from anaemia and thyroid problems to childbirth, illness or long stress.

Symptoms patients come with
Hair coming out while combing or washing
Widening parting or thinning at the crown
Itching, flaking or an oily scalp
Brittle hair that breaks before it grows
What to bring
Any blood report from the last six months
A list of medicines and supplements you take
A photograph of the parting, if the change is recent
At the consultation

Dr. Chandani Kumari looks at the scalp, asks how long the shedding has gone on, and takes a history of diet, periods, sleep, illness and recent medicines. Blood reports are reviewed if you have them.

Follow-up

A review in four weeks, then usually monthly. Hair responds slowly, so change is judged over months rather than weeks.

P.C.O.D.

02
पी.सी.ओ.डी.

Polycystic ovarian disease, where the ovaries do not release an egg regularly. It commonly shows up as irregular periods together with weight, skin or hair changes.

Symptoms patients come with
Periods that come late, or are skipped
Weight gain that is hard to shift
Acne, or hair on the face and chin
Difficulty conceiving
What to bring
Ultrasound or hormone reports, if done
Dates of your last three periods
Any medicine already prescribed for P.C.O.D.
At the consultation

The consultation covers cycle dates, weight history, family history and any scans or hormone reports. Remedy selection takes the whole picture into account, not the scan alone.

Follow-up

Monthly, timed around your cycle, so the pattern can be followed over three to six cycles.

Diet advice

Whole grains instead of maida, a protein at every meal, thirty minutes of walking. Avoid sugar and sweetened drinks.

Menstrual problems

03
महावारी समस्या

Pain, heavy or scanty bleeding, long gaps, or bleeding between periods. Many of these settle once the underlying pattern is understood.

Symptoms patients come with
Cramping that stops normal work
Very heavy or very light flow
Clots, or bleeding for more than seven days
Mood or sleep changes before periods
What to bring
Dates of your last three periods
Any pelvic scan report
A note of the pain — where it starts and what eases it
At the consultation

You will be asked to recall the last three cycle dates, the flow, and the pain — where it sits and what eases it. Please bring any scan reports.

Follow-up

One review per cycle for the first three cycles.

Piles

04
पाइल्स

Swollen veins in and around the anus, usually from long-standing constipation or straining. Most cases settle with treatment and a steady change in diet.

Symptoms patients come with
Bleeding while passing stool
Pain, itching or a lump at the opening
A feeling of incomplete emptying
Discomfort on sitting for long
What to bring
A note of your usual bowel habit
Any ointment or medicine used so far
Any earlier opinion you have been given
At the consultation

Bowel habit, water intake, diet and how long the complaint has lasted are all discussed. An examination is done only with your consent, and dietary advice is given alongside the remedy.

Follow-up

Two weeks, then monthly. A diet chart is given at the first visit.

Diet advice

Soaked figs or raisins in the morning, high-fibre meals, ten to twelve glasses of water. Avoid chillies, pickles and long straining.

Kidney stone

05
किडनी स्टोन

Hard deposits that form in the kidney and may move into the ureter. Size and position, seen on ultrasound, decide what is possible.

Symptoms patients come with
Sharp pain in the back or side that comes in waves
Burning or frequent urination
Blood in the urine
Nausea with the pain
What to bring
Ultrasound or CT report showing stone size
Urine routine report, if done
A note of when the pain comes and how long it lasts
At the consultation

Ultrasound reports are reviewed first. A large stone, or one that is blocking the flow, is referred to a specialist — that is said plainly at the first visit.

Follow-up

Fortnightly during an episode, with a repeat scan as advised.

Three litres of water spread through the day, lemon water, normal dietary calcium. Avoid very salty food and cola.

Joint pain

06
जोड़ों का दर्द

Pain, stiffness or swelling in one or many joints, from wear, injury, or an inflammatory condition.

Symptoms patients come with
Morning stiffness that eases with movement
Swelling or warmth over a joint
Pain climbing stairs or squatting
Pain that shifts from joint to joint
What to bring
X-ray or MRI report, if done
Blood reports such as RA factor or uric acid
A list of painkillers you use and how often
At the consultation

Which joints, at what time of day, and what makes the pain better or worse — cold, heat, rest, movement. These details guide the remedy closely.

Follow-up

Three to four weeks, longer once the pain settles.

Diet advice

Warm cooked food, turmeric with milk, gentle daily movement. Limit very cold and heavily fried food.

Skin conditions

07
चर्म रोग

Long-standing eczema, psoriasis, urticaria, fungal patches and acne. Skin complaints usually need patience and a steady course.

Symptoms patients come with
Itching that disturbs sleep
Dry, scaling or cracked patches
Rash that comes and goes with seasons
Pigmentation left after healing
What to bring
Photographs of the skin during a flare
Names of creams and tablets used before
Any allergy or patch-test report
At the consultation

The consultation covers when the skin first changed, what worsens it, earlier ointments used, and family history. Photographs of a flare are useful.

Follow-up

Monthly. Skin often looks worse before it improves, and this is explained at the start.

Diet advice
Full diet chart →

Plenty of water, seasonal fruit, plain home food while the skin settles. Note and avoid foods that trigger a flare.

Refusing food, or very slow weight gain
Frequent cold, cough or ear pain
Bedwetting past the usual age
What to bring
Immunisation card
Growth chart or weight record
A note of how often the child falls ill
